Together, We Make a Difference

Together, we provide hope and second-chances at St. Vincent de Paul of Tacoma, Pierce County. This holiday season, we invite you to lend your support and give the gift of hope to our neighbors in need. Here’s how you can help make a difference with St. Vinnies!

1. Join in on our Share the Warmth Donation Drive

With the incoming cold temperatures, there is an ever-increasing need for items to keep our neighbors warm. While we can provide some of these items through our Homeless Prevention & Basic Needs Program, we know that with help from the community, our reach can go even further.  We are collecting new crew socks and gloves for men & women throughout the winter. There are many cold days ahead, and we are consistently receiving requests. Here’s how you can contribute:

Drop off donations Monday thru Sunday 10 am - 5 pm at our Tacoma Thrift Store. Please mark items as "Warm Donation Drive." We will directly distribute these to our neighbors in need.

2. Give a Monetary Donation to our Homeless Prevention & Basic Needs Program

Our Homeless Prevention & Basic Needs Program helps connect our neighbors in need with immediate financial, material and spiritual support based on their needs. Whether it’s rent assistance, a gas card or a short-term motel stay, this program helps bridge the gap for our neighbors throughout Pierce County.

In the winter, short-term motel stays play a vital role in keeping individuals and families off the street. The short-term stay keeps our neighbors in need sheltered and warm while a long-term solution can be worked out. This season, join us as we provide hope and shelter. Please consider donating below.

3. Spend time Volunteering at our Thrift Store

At St. Vincent de Paul, we rely on dedicated volunteers to help keep our organization running smoothly. From pricing and sorting donations to ensuring the retail floor is organized, every person involved makes a major difference. We’d love to have you join us. Whether as a group or individual, volunteers can sign up through our website! Click the button below to get started.
