Providing Hope, Providing Shelter

Providing Shelter to Our Neighbors in Need

During the inclement weather snap, we actively provided emergency motel vouchers to families and individuals. In December, we provided $19,758 in emergency motel vouchers, keeping 165 individuals off the streets during the holidays and protected from the winter storm.

Our Homeless Prevention and Basic Needs Program allows us to support our neighbors in Pierce County when they are facing an immediate financial crisis. Short-term motel vouchers are one of our biggest Helpline requests. These short-term motel stays provide a space for families and individuals to stay warm, to figure out their next move and a chance to simply rest.
